As you go to open your pool, follow these simple steps to make it easier:

ALL POOLS:
[  ] Remove All Leaves & Debris from the top of the Cover
[  ] Remove excess water from the top of the Cover – make sure you aren’t draining the pool as you drain the cover.  Always check UNDER the cover as it is being drained.
[  ] Remove the Winter Cover
[  ] Add Water to Normal operating / swimming level
[  ] Replace all filter, pump & heater drain plugs
[  ] Lubricate “o” rings & gaskets on all valves and pump basket
[  ] Attach pump
[  ] HAND tighten all fittings & clamps
[  ] “Prime” (fill it with water) pump when initially starting
[  ] Vacuum pool of all dirt & debris
[  ] Direct pool return jets (eyeballs) down to the bottom of the pool for best, most efficient water circulation
[  ] Clean Liner with PoolBoss Surface Cleaner
[  ] Clean Filter with PoolBoss Filter Cleaner
[  ] Clean ladder treads (top & bottom) and Winter Cover with PoolBoss Cover Cleaner
[  ] After pool has been vacuumed of debris, add starter chemicals as recommended above
[  ] Allow opening chemicals to circulate CONTINUOUSLY for 24 - 36 hours
[  ]Test water & balance as needed (pH, Total Alkalinity & Calcium Hardness) – always balance to high end of good range for best initial results

All the above Dosages are based on a Normal, Clean Spring Pool Opening. Make Chemical Adjustments as Needed. Don't be cheap!

NEVER DRAIN your pool.  The liner will shrink, voiding the warranty and could cause damage to your pool.  In gunite, plaster, or even fiberglass pools total or significant removal of the water from the pool may result in the pool structure "floating" and causing serious damage to the structure.
